💭 Before you begin:

Google Drive used to be solid method for file hosting up until January 2024. Attempting to include and preview file links on a website now gives the following error:

A message in the browser’s developer console titled “Response was blocked by CORB (Cross-Origin Read Blocking)”, with the description “Cross-Origin Read Blocking (CORB) blocked a cross-origin response.” A list of affected resources (file URLs) are displayed underneath.

Although the traditional file linking method on Google Drive no longer works, there is a website called img-link (https://img-l.ink) that solves this issue.

img-link will create a folder for you, in which they can access all the files within. img-link does not have access to your files outside this folder.

💡 Accepted File Types:

Despite the name (img-link), you can upload audio and video files as well. However, please be wary if you’re planning on uploading non-image content.
